Itinerary

Arrival at Kathmandu, Going Nepal member will be Welcome at Tribhuvan International airport and transferred to the hotel. Check in to the hotel refresh yourself and we will move to Kathmandu Durbar square and Swayambhu for a half-day city tour in Kathmandu

Fly from Kathmandu to Paro. After immigration and customs formalities, you are met by our guide and driver and transferred to Paro city, where you can eat lunch in a tourist restaurant. Visit the National Museum of Paro, before driving to Thimphu, which takes about 1.5hrs. Take a rest in the hotel. Overnight in Thimpu at a hotel

Drive to Paro Transfer to the trailhead and begin your trek to Taktsangang (Tiger’s Lair) monasterBhutan’sn’s most famous sight. Your guide can arrana ge pony/horse fa or ride uphill till the Cafeteria, but one must be able to walk after that. A proper trekking boot or good walking shoes is necessary for this hike those who choose not to hike can stay back with the driver and tour around Paro. Overnight in Paro Taktshang - Tiger's Nest: Taktshang or 'Tiger's Nest' as it is often referred to for Taktshang Pelphung monastery, is one of the most venerated and famous of Bhutan's monasteries. It is located on the face of a 900m sheer cliff. An impressive aun-missableble site, but accessible only by walk or to ride mules/pony. Taktshang was rebuilt by a population of Tsento village. Again in April of 1998, a major fire destroyed the main structure of the building and its contents (some belief it to be arson). Reconstruction began in 2000 and was completed and consecrated after extensive efforts and financial support from Governments as well as donors.

Upon your arrival at Paro airport, our guide will be there to welcome you and transfer you to Thimphu. Lunch in the hotel and later drive past Memorial Chorten (temple) built in memory of the late 3rd King. Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley offering a nice view of the valley. Enclosure where national animal, Takins are kept and drive to visit the largest and newly built statue of Buddha offering a magnificent view of the entire Thimphu valley. Could walk down to the hotel.

Morning visit the traditional Hand Made Paper Mill, School of Arts and Crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, Folk Heritage Museum, National Library, and the Traditional Institute of Medicine. Drive to the Zilukha nunnery to meet the nuns and interact with them. Lunch in the town and drive to Punakha through Dochula pass (3200m) If the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a site that stretches almost 180 degrees. Walk around the 108 stupas and continue to the sub-tropical valley of Punakha.

Drive further up to visit the Souvenir Making Center for girls supported by Youth Development Fund. Interact with the students and back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch could relax in the balcony of the hotel to enjoy the view and nature. Or could go for an hour hike to the temple of Khamsum Yuley Lakhang or the temple of Chimi Lakhang, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus.
Overnight: Punakha

Retrace the drive back to Paro. After lunch visit Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot and continue walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use. Continue further to stroll around the old Paro town and peep into some local handicrafts stores. Could get some opportunity to see the traditional game, Archery match going on. Evening back to the hotel and enjoy the facility in the hotel.

Morning drive to the base for the hike (2hrs uphill) to Tiger's Nest, the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro valley. Lunch in the cafeteria. Most of the day will go on the hike. Back to the hotel and enjoy the facility. Hot stone bath is available on Client’s personal expenses. Farewell dinner in the town.

Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Welcome, meet, and assist our Going Nepal representative & transfer to the hotel. Welcome drink followed by tour briefing. Stay Overnight in Kathmandu.

Early morning Breakfast at the hotel, after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to explore Kathmandu. Our first stop will be Patan Durbar Square: Located about 5km south of Kathmandu, Patan is one of 3 royal cities in the valley. A destination for connoisseurs of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, and ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. After finishing the trip drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square - Bhaktapur Durbar Square, located in the center of Bhaktapur city, is a conglomeration of pagoda and shikhara-style temples grouped around a fiftyfive-window palace of brick and wood. The square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the Valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal.

Check out from the hotel, and drive to the isolated valley of Phobjikha. The valley is protected by the endangered Black Necked Cranes migrating to Bhutan every winter (early Nov to the End of February). The drive is very picturesque and worth every turn and climb. On arrival visit Gangtey Gompa, the only Ningmapa monastery which is the largest in western Bhutan. Phobjikha valley is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Later in the afternoon could relax in the hotel or could go for a nice short hike in the valley. This valley got electricity only recently. Farm house stay optional.

After Breakfast, Check out, Drive by Car to Pokhara. Enjoy a 6/7-hour beautiful drive to Pokhara., Arrive & check in at Hotel, and rest. Later in the evening go boating in Phewa Lake (the second largest lake in Nepal) You may do self-boating at Fewa lake. Evening free for personal activities on the lakeside market on own. Dinner and Overnight Stay in Pokhara in Four star-Hotel.   

Wake up early Morning for witnessing a Sunrise from a hilltop called Sarangkot. It will take around 45 minutes to reach Sarangkot from Pokhara, Lakeside. After watching the sunrise from the top, drive back to the hotel, have Breakfast, and after some rest proceed for Pokhara sightseeing where you will visit Bindabasini temple, Davis Falls, Seti Gorge, Gupteshwor Cave, and Tibetan Refugee Camp. Davis Fall and Gupteshwor Cave, Tibetan Camp, Mountain Museum, after finishing the tour drive back to the hotel and rest. Later in the evening you can go around the lakeside and enjoy the lake vibe. Dinner can be served around the lake or at the hotel and overnight at the four start hotel.

Today after breakfast, Cross the Lake by Boat and walk to World Peace Stupa, takes about 2/3 hours, and you may return the same way back. In the afternoon enjoy the lakeside and overnight stay in a four-star hotel. 

Breakfast & drive to Chitwan National Park. (146 KM /5-6 hours). On arrival check into the Resort followed by a welcome drink and briefing about the jungle activities. Lunch at the hotel. After lunch, a briefing by the tour guide on the programs was arranged. You will be bought to the nearby ethnic Tharu Village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit the National Park visitor’s center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife. You will have a sunset view tour from the bank of Rapti River. Back in hotel. Dinner at hotel.
