About Dhulikhel
Dhulikhel is the administrative center of Kavrepalanchwok district. From Kathmandu to Dhulikhel it's 32 km which takes 1 hour and 5 minutes to arrive. Dhulikhel, 1550m is the best alternative to Nagarkot when it comes to mountain views and also has a large number of resorts to choose from. It’s added attraction is the old Dhulikhel town which still retains the old world charm of brick houses, temples and the slow pace of life.. 32 km east of Kathmandu, just off the Arniko Highway (The road to Tibet), Dhulikhel is easily accessible and also lies on the route to the famous Namobouddha, a pilgrimage site on a hilltop. The town is distinctively Newari as the architecture and the inhabitants remain the same as centuries ago, ie Newar. The short hike to Namobuddha can be very rewarding as the views are great and there is much greenery around.
